I'm going completely dotty - In a good way...

I have been having some fun lately working on a hair accessory groovy enough to go with all of the gorgeous dresses and outfits handmade by awesome WAHM's. These ladies use  the most delicious fabrics....Be sure to check out Patooties Boutique, Handmade by 3 Little B's, Tutus and Muddy Shoes, Lil Pip and 1 Puddle Lane - the clothes they have been delivering this season are nothing short of magic.....

So many gorgeous floral prints and amazing colours out there and oh, so hard to choose just one - Miss Matilda has a growing collection of handmade delights :) 

So SMD opted for simplicity this time... Something sweet enough to compliment an outfit without going totally over the top...

Our recent antics....

Mr Science himself has started off the school holidays with a transpiration experiment that worked really well and was not hard at all - which kept me happy :) Check out the results below...

Blue food colouring and some pale/white flowers an awesome result and a science lesson all in one. I have to wonder though what the next scientific request will be....

A small amount of online shopping was also undertaken recently - The gorgeous Anita from Winnie & Clem made the kids some beautiful handmade hats - A must for this summer season - pop on in and have a browse you won't be disappointed xx

Felty Ruffle Bags...

'Sharing' is the word of the week it seems - I have shared so much of my time with the rest of the world this past week I am completely pooped. I had oodles of fun though, it's just a very good thing it's Friday night....

One more item to 'share' though - I have just realised that our SMD Felty Reversible bags have not made an appearance on my teeny blog nor have they made it as far as our madeit store - Umar - I have a goal this weekend it seems.....

Our Amazing Holiday.....

Our gorgeous daughter Matilda...

On holidays is the perfect time to catch up and finally add some pictures to my very neglected Blog page. It must be the most neglected page on the internet by far.... and boy do I have some delicious pictures....
We have had a super work/holiday week with lots of SMD stock going to Mini Mojo - a gorgeous childrens store in Coffs Harbour and some very entertaining photo sessions of our children by Images of life by Lisa.

The concept is called 'Choose your own model adventure' and children are able to purchase clothes from various retailers and have their photos taken by the very talented Lisa all for a bargain price.
Everyones happy, kids get clothes and to glam it up for an afternoon and parents get beautiful pictures to keep forever.

Oh and of course I made a whole heap of accessories for Miss Matilda to model for SMD....

Well, well what a neglected blog page I have.... hmmm need to organise my time better so I remember to blog about my latest antics at Shelli Morse Design. Perhaps I just need a new PC that loads photos faster - that would certainly help.

So whats new I hear you ask.... Have been messing around with some felt - Surprised? No didn't think so :) and Voila Felty T's have made an appearance - girly ones at this stage but am working on a boys range too as there seem to be lots of boys who don't like wearing hairclips - and lots of mummys who want something different for their big and little men to wear.

Size 1 - 100% cotton soft green long sleeve T - with felty tulip detail - one of a kind as I can't seem to buy these soft green T's anymore. Available in white though sizes 1-5

Meet Martha

Due to the rainy weather and chilly days,  I have been inside creating. Lots of wonderful custom orders and some completely random things in between.


Martha is a 'short haired' fairy - Miss Matilda (3) has informed me she can't do magic because she doesn't have long yellow hair!!! Got to love the impact the dreaded telly has on wee creatures. Anyway - I think she is sweet - Let me know what you think :)

The Baby Blossom Range are created using soft felt crafted around a 3cm snap clip and  completely hand sewn with stranded cotton.

The Tree Challenge

Who doesn't love a challenge?? I have been wondering what I could do that would be different and interesting for sometime... So i borrowed a tree! As you do :) - The challenge is to see how many birds, flowers, fruit and other tree dwelling type creations I can have nesting in here by Monday afternoon - as thats when I am returning 'the tree!'
